The BMW Type Socket

BMW Type Socket with a Spring Loaded Cover to keep dirt out. Made by us. (no powerlet did not invent it, Hella did). 

You might see something like this on the powerlet site. Like so many of our connectors, cables and adapters, they did copy our designs. If you ever get ahold of an old gerbing catalog, you will see all the cables and adapters we were making for them and Harley years before powerlet was in business. Also, this socket was developed by Hella not by powerlet. Not sure why they keep claiming it is a powerlet socket when Hella makes them and they have been used for years by Deere and BMW as power ports.
