    Having used both types of controllers, I must say I prefer the remote. Easy to use and with the small control unit, easy to mount if you're so inclined.
    The only problem I had was it wouldn't work right out of the box. Turns out the battery that was in it was apparently shot. It did come with a spare and that solved the problem

    I really like my remote controller. It is very easy to use because there are no wires to connect. I can't comment on the set-up procedure because W&S did that for me when I bough the liner with the controller. I especially like the fact that you don't have to turn it on. You plug in the liner and it starts up in a medium setting. Usually I don't have to adjust the setting. Your needs may differ. The only negative thing I can find about the controller, and the reason I didn't give it 4 stars, is the size of the remote thing that fits in the liner's pocket. It is quite bulky. That said, I would still recommend this controller.
