Here is feedback on the new Heat Layer from one of our customer/testers

October 5th, 2017

The 120 miles from Susanville, CA to Mt Shasta City gains a lot of altitude. I left Susanville in the morning at 37 degrees.

Within several minutes of climbing the temp gage on my dash meter dropped alarmingly until it hit 24 degrees. It dropped to 21 degrees every time I went through shade. Fortunately it was dry, so no ice on the road. I averaged about 65 mph, so there was wind chill involved. I mostly ran the gloves at about 1/2 half to 3/4 power and the shirt about the same on my remote Duel Heat Troller. Once or twice I tried full power, but had to turn it down.

I wear an Aerostich suit with the base layer under it. In this case, I wore a thin layer over the shirt (An LD comfort wicking shirt). The12v Warm and Safe Heat Layer Shirt is brilliant. It is not bulky and does not in any way interfere with range of motion. Paired with warm and safe heated gloves, it makes a splendid system. I have been riding for over 50 years, but do not believe I have ever ridden in temps so low. Frankly when I saw this on the meter, I almost turned back to wait for higher temps. However, I did not have to! In fact, I was just fine. I love this Garment and know you will too!

  1. Excellent 5 Star Review

If you ride in the cold you should have this item. I actually like it better than my Gen 4 jacket liner.

  2. Great new option in heated gear. 5 Star Review

Bought this product after having read Moshe Levy's review in Motorcycle Consumer News. After trying it out I am very happy. It works great and the integrated wiring for (optional) heated gloves makes using the much easier!

    Great price! Great value!

  3. Sierra Nevada crossing 5 Star Review

In return here’s a picture of my recent (Dec ‘17) Sierra Nevada crossing wearing your heated layer shirt http://www.warmnsafe.com/mens-heated-layer-for-12-volt-gear/. It was about 22 degrees at the time (sunny western slope just coming into view!).
The only thing that got cold was my thumb (the reason for this order haha). You are welcome to post it on your website.

  4. Hot. Cool. How do it know? 5 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Feb 2018

I purchased this base layer to replace a Gen3 jacket. My ATGATT fits close and I could wear either the Gen3 or the insulated OEM jacket liner, but never both.
NOW (caps intentional) now I don't have to choose. My base layer spins up heat on demand. I can wear the OEM insulation with no binding. Yay!
I see this as a win for the added flexibility.
I expected to use less dial on the Heatroller (about half of before) but unexpected was the absolute wall of warmth (WallO'Warmth (c)) I can't think of a more effective description for what develops under the OEM insulation with the heated base layer. Warm just sort of wells up like a protective barrier and evens out over your entire body. It is so luxurious!
Now I get to enjoy the Blue Ridge in all seasons.
