Bought the 90w liner to replace my heated vest and Y cable. I use it mainly for cold weather commuting under a First Gear Kilamenjaro (sp?) jacket. It is much more convenient than the Y cable for gloves. I also bought the dual remote controller. I am 6'/162 lbs and the M/tall fits just right.

After 50+ years of riding, winter gloves and thermal gear just didn't get it anymore. After researching the different mfg's heated gear, I chose the warm & safe liner, gloves and the duel temp controller. WOW!! First ride in late Nov, up Angeles Crest Hwy, just north of Los Angeles, temp hits 24 deg.and I'm so warm and comfortable I start singing "happy days are here again"! Gear workers perfectly. At 24 deg. I run the liner at about 70%, gloves at about 80%. Outstanding quality and value. Thanks for keeping these old bones warm. Looking forward to many more years of comfortable warm winter riding.

I can't believe how much heat really comes through this jacket. Riding in -2 celsius or 30 degree weather for you Americans is a no brainer now with this jacket.Takes up so little room in saddle bag and together with my mesh riding jacket this is all I will ever need. No need to have that big bulky leater jacket that takes up so much room when weather gets too warm out.

I bought the entire set with the wireless heat troller and I must say I'm impressed. I have a 65 mile one way commute and want to ride through the winter, only problem is I am a real bitch when it comes to the cold. But this gear makes it possible and because I'm too lazy to gear down and back up again when arriving to and departing from work I wear the pants all day. They are comfy enough to do so. So far I've been down in the mid 20s and I was plenty warm and this before layering up properly so I could probably go lower than that. If the cold regrettably forces you to shelve your favorite way to get around each winter fight back and stay warm!!

I have owned a Generation 4 jacket liner since it was first released in late 2009. (I owned an earlier model Warm and Safe liner for many years before that, but when I learned about the innovations in the new Gen 4 liner, I decided to get it. I am so glad I did.)
I have ridden many tens of thousands of miles all over the country in all seasons, including several long trips where temperatures were in the low 20s (F) over the Rockies, over the Cascades, and over the high deserts of Arizona and New Mexico. I have taken many more trips where temperatures stayed in the low 30s or 40s all day long.
The Warm and Safe Gen 4 jacket liner has been 100% reliable since I bought it two and a half years ago. It has kept me comfortable and warm throughout my travels. It is definitely worth the cost, and superior to the "other brand" competition. You get what you pay for.
I have no affiliation with Warm and Safe, other than being a long-time satisfied customer. This is my first review, and it is long overdue.
