I've been riding for 45 years and have been a heated gear user for about half that time. When my Gerbings vest died after a decade, I bought my Gen4 liner via the trade-up program. It was a painless process that saved me $70 on this great liner.
Pre-purchase customer phone support was excellent. Based on two discussions I bought a large and it fits like it was tailored for me. The size charts are very accurate!
The liner heats almost immediately and the heat is even and well distributed. I've used the liner in temps just above freezing with just a very light turtleneck as a base layer and my Olympia AST jacket and have never been above 50% on the HeatTroller. Even with the AST liner removed I've never been above 75% on the HeatTroller. The comfort level with that combination is fantastic.
Although the W&S can be used a jacket on its own, I doubt I'd do that: the proper fit is snug and is not a very flattering look for guys of - ahem - a certain age.
My only grumbles: (1) the pants connectors (stored neatly in their pocket) are a noticeable lump at the waistline when my AST is cinched to keep out drafts and (2) the collar is at least 1" too big. This last item is causes the W&S heated collar to bunch up under my AST's collar, which gets uncomfortable after a while. With the AST's collar loose, I get a draft around my neck. I've solved this with an Aerostitch silk scarf but I feel it's a design flaw that needs to be addressed, as the scarf also keeps the collar's heat from my neck. I'd have deducted a half star if I could for this problem.
As a footnote, I have kidney disease and keeping my kidneys warm is crucial. Unlike several other vests and liners I've used, the W&S liner has its back heat pads placed perfectly over my kidneys.

I had a Gerbings jacket for 4-5 years of commuting use. Good service. But W&S let me trade it in on a new W&S jacket. The process was easy, made the cost bearable, and I'm finding the jacket is warmer, especially in the sleeves than the Gerbing. The fit is great also. The only wish I would have is that the jacket be a tiny bit looser at the very bottom hem. I find that is tight while the rest fits perfect. Also love the wireless PCM holder in the pocket.

Having bought a bike with an alternator that can give me the watts, I traded my old Widder vest in on a Gen 4 W&S jacket liner & Heat-Troller.
This is a significant upgrade from the Widder both in terms of heat supplied and the rapidity of its onset.
Add in the "beyond the call of duty" actions of the staff to my fitting issues (I have a "non-standard" body shape), and this has been one of the better purchases that I have made.
I can hardly wait for it to get cold ;-)

I have purchased the heated liner and gloves. I was a 12 year Gerbing user and the change to Warm & Safe is refreshing. The liner fits much better because of the side stretch panels and therefore heats better and more evenly. The gloves are truly windproof and and heat better than my old gloves. I am very happy!

I am 6'1" and 175 lbs and have the Large Tall jacket which fits perfectly, that is to say, relatively snugly. I could not even zip the Medium Tall, so I'd recommending shading up a size if you are close. The jacket is fantastic under an Aerostitch. I especially like having the gloves separately controlled by the remote controller.
