In my opinion the Gen 3 keeps you warmer than the new Gen 4. Could be the wind cooling the new carbon based element quicker than the old style. This is my pick out of all the excellent Warm and Safe products.

Loved the coat and how it worked.....
The only problem that I have is with the sizing. I was very diligent with measuring myself and going over the chart provided on the web site. The coat was smaller than the chart indicated. It still fit but was tighter than should have been per the chart.

The Warm & Safe Gen 3 heated jacket liner does all it should. It fits snugly so it's easy to fit under jackets and provides wonderful warmth without the bulk that restricts your movement. I've worn the liner under a fabric jacket and over a long sleeved T-shirt in temps down to 35 degrees F and it kept me toasty warm at half power. I was concerned about wind chill related issues when I traded my 2008 Honda Goldwing for the greatly reduced wind protection of a 2014 BMW R1200 GS Adventure. I can easily say that I no longer have concerns about staying warm on the BMW as the Warm & Safe liner is more than capable of keeping off the chill in all critical areas.

Fit's well, keeps me warm, even below freezing, now I need some pants, and socks.

First impression is that the jacket liner and the wireless remote I also bought were of very good quality. I took my first ride in 45F weather on my Kawasaki Concours 14. Rode for about two hours at highway speeds of 55 mph and never had to go above 50% power to stay toasty warm. Dialed it back a bit when in town. I wore a light weight Underarmour base layer with a heavy motorcycle jacket on the outside. Anxious to give it a go this spring on an all day muli-day tour. Seems really great so far!
