We usually do newsletters to tell people about our product or about why we do things or to tell you about sales. This newsletter is to tell you about something I ran across.

Dunlop, the tire company, does a series of posters they call “Legends”. The newest one is to commemorate Nicky Hayden who died this year while bicycle training on a road in Italy. I don’t know the full story and I am not sure who does but for guys that take corners at speeds in excess of 200mph in the rain with a whole bunch of other guys trying to pass them, to get killed bicycling does seem ironic.

Anyway, the poster is a great way to remember him and honor him. For those that want to read the press release from Dunlop and get a link to the Hayden brothers site that sells them, go to this url:

Nicky Hayden Added To Dunlop's "Legends" Poster Collection, Proceeds Will Go To Nicky Hayden Memorial Fund

“In 2005 Dunlop introduced the Legends program to benefit injured riders. These historic black-and-white posters honor some of the greatest racers in the sport, including David Bailey, Yvon Duhamel, Broc Glover, Bob Hannah, Kent Howerton, Rick Johnson, Wayne Rainey, Kenny Roberts, Bubba Shobert, Jeff Ward, Bruce Ogilvie, Malcolm Smith, Doug Henry, Jeremy McGrath, Jeff Stanton and now Nicky Hayden. The posters are 19 x 26 inches, and printed in black and white on heavy matte art paper.”

We have been trying to find a way to help the bikers that lost rides and gear from the hurricanes. If a million cars were lost, how many motorcycles were? If you know anyone that needs replacement heated gear, have them email me and I will see what we can do. gtsmike@warmnsafe.com
